Thanks to Everyone for Participating!

The bidding paddles have been put away and the golf scores have been recorded. The HANDS Auxiliary 2010 Cocktail Party/Auction and Golf Outing are now history.

The Planning Committee would like to thank everyone who took part in these events through their attendance, sponsorships, donations, bidding, etc. Many people helped to raise a whapping $77,280 for individuals with disabilities served at HDC.

Your participation will make a difference in many people's lives! Thank You!!

Help Us Win an Office Makeover

We are participating in the "Make My Non-Profit Run Better" contest for a chance to win an office technology makeover from RK Dixon--a value of between $5000 and $20,000.

All you have to do is vote! The more votes we get, the better chance we have to win! Go to www.rkdixon.com and vote for HDC starting Monday, August 23rd at 8 a.m. through Sunday, August 29th at 5 p.m. Tell your friends, colleagues, neighbors, and anyone else willing to vote for HDC!

Happy voting and thanks for your support!

Goals for the campaign were to improve and enhance services to individuals served at the Center. The first phase of the campaign was completed with the construciton of the Brady Street building.

  • Our Personal Independence Services program relocated from the main HDC building at 3402 Hickory Grove Road to 4201 Brady Street on April 6th!!! Everyone is getting well aquainted with the new facility, and enjoying all the space they now occupy.
  • In the space vacated at the Hickory Grove Road building, two training areas have been enhanced to offer more opportunities for individuals to learn work skills and earn a paycheck. Remodeling at the Hickory Grove Road building is complete and the new accommodations are wonderful!
