"Help Achieve New Direction and Skills" is the H.A.N.D.S. Auxiliary motto. Through the Auxiliary's many successful endeavors, they have impacted the lives of countless individuals with disabilities.
The Auxiliary is a group of people who support the work of the Handicapped Development Center by raising funds for programs. Their major event is an annual golf tournament and auction. The golf tournament is held the first Monday of June with the auction being the Sunday evening prior to the golf tournament.
The proceeds of these events are donated to HDC. Over the years, the H.A.N.D.S.'s donations have allowed the Center to purchase wheelchairs, vans, production equipment, computers, an accessible playground, and much, much more! In 2004, the Auxiliary handed over a check that brought their total donations to the Center to over $1 million!
