WORK WE DO:
Employment Services Program
HDC offers a wide range of services to help people learn what is necessary to be successful on the job. People experience the intrinsic value of work and the feelings of respect and self-worth generated by being productive and earning a paycheck for the work completed.
Comprehensive Evaluation helps an individual explore their interests and their work abilities. Various methods are used to help with this discovery, including formal testing, counseling, and other assessments.
Employee Development Services
Employee Development teaches individuals the work habits and behaviors that are required when employed. Individual instruction, paid work experiences and classroom instruction are part of the service.
Employment Planning Services
Employment Planning Services provide people the opportunity to learn about employment in the community and to develop a plan to achieve employment. This service can include job shadowing, job tryouts, paid work trials and situational assessment.
Organizational Employment helps people develop their strengths and reduce the barriers to employment. A variety of paid work experiences, individual and group counseling, classroom instruction and personalized services are provided.
Community Employment supports individuals in their work setting. Services include help obtaining a job, on-the-job training, job counseling, classroom training, and job coaching. Individuals are matched with employers according to their interests, skills, and job responsibilities.
